Trucking Quote Generator

Quote a haul before you roll. Put the lane, the cargo and your rate in writing, spell out what is and is not included, and send a PDF. When the load delivers, turn the quote into the invoice with the actual quantity.

Common questions

What is the difference between a trucking quote and a rate confirmation?

A quote is your offered price for a job. A rate confirmation is the agreement, usually issued by a broker, that fixes the rate and terms for a specific load. Your quote can become the basis of that agreement, and the invoice should then match the confirmed rate.

Can I bill by the mile, the load, the ton, or the hour?

Yes, and you can mix them on one document. Each line has its own quantity, unit and rate, so a per-mile line haul, an hourly detention charge and a flat fuel surcharge can sit on the same invoice. Rates with fractions of a cent, such as $0.285 a bushel, are kept exactly and each line is rounded to the cent.

How do I turn a quote into an invoice?

Open the quote, press Convert to Invoice, then correct the quantities to what was actually hauled and add the load, ticket or BOL references. The customer, the lane and the rates carry over.

Does this tool tell me what rate to charge?

No. It does not show market or spot rates. You enter your own rate, and the Freight Rate Calculator can help you see what a rate comes to for a given load.
